Summit Series

Born in 2008 from a ski trip for 19 entrepreneurs, the idea was for young entrepreneurs to spend 4 days where they can make friends alongside business relationships. And work with non-profits along the way. Basically, create a community of like-minded, innovative people who can support each other, while learning how they can help the world as well. It is held in a different location each year and includes a variety of activities. This invitation-only conference entertains as much as it educates, as attendees are immersed in social activities from skiing, dancing, speed-networking, etc.

Daphne Oz, author  of The Dorm Room Diet, relates her experience at the 2009 Summit:

“…this was not like any other “conference” I’ve ever attended. First of all, over the three nights the conference spanned, we rolled 250 [people]-deep to some of the trendiest clubs the Miami strip has to offer. One of the conference’s goals is for attendees to make genuine friendships, and the extravagant revelry successfully forwarded this mission…”

The conference’s Chief Community Builder, Jeff Rosenthal, travels extensively and stays 2 months in each place. He says, “Traveling keeps us fresh…spend our days exploring, dreaming and discovering new people, places and ideas. Not to mention that when you spend your morning…on a snowboard or surfing private breaks in San Juan Del Sur, you are very motivated to get your job done when you get to work.”

~ Maybe there can be a travel agency that boasts it will ‘ make you more motivated’.  Summit  Series comes close. ~
